Nine age groups. Pick yours by school year.
We field U6 through to U17 — no U12, U14 or U16. Some seasons an age group splits into Tigers Green and Tigers Black depending on numbers. Coaches and training nights are confirmed at sign-on each year.

Girls in our age groups
Girls play in our age groups. Same grades, same field.
At junior level here there's no separate girls competition — girls play in the same age groups as the boys, by school year, right through the grades. Plenty of girls pull on the black, orange and green for the Tigers every season.
As players move into the older grades, mixed-tackle rules follow the QRL guidelines for the age group. If you've got a question about your daughter playing, ask us at sign-on or message the club — we'll talk you through it.

New To Footy
Never played? Start here
Never played footy before?
No experience needed. Everyone starts somewhere.
Loads of our kids had never touched a footy before their first season. U6 and U7 are non-contact and built for first-timers, so there's a soft landing whatever age your kid starts. Here's how it works.
01
Start non-contact
U6 and U7 are tackle-free — kids learn to run, pass and play the game with no big hits while they find their feet.
02
Ease into contact
U8 is the first tackle year. Coaches teach safe technique from the ground up — older first-timers are slotted in by school year and brought along at their pace.
03
Gear sorted at sign-on
All your kid needs is boots, a mouthguard and a water bottle to start. We'll explain the rest — jersey, shorts, socks — when you sign on. No gear, no worries.
Not sure which grade? We'll sort it at sign-on.
