FAQs
The questions we get most
Before you ask
Frequently asked.
How do I sign my child up?
Registration is done online through MySideline each season. If it's your first time, send us a message above and the registrar will walk you through it — including proof-of-age and getting your child into the right grade.
What ages can play?
We run teams from Under-6 right through to Under-17 in the CHJRL competition. The younger grades are about fun and fundamentals; if you're not sure where your child fits, just ask.
When and where is training?
Training is at McIndoe Park, Opal St, Emerald, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from around 4:30pm through the season. Exact times shift by age group — your coach will confirm once teams are set.
How much does it cost?
Fees are kept as low as we can as a volunteer-run club, and Queensland FairPlay vouchers can be used towards registration. We never want cost to keep a kid off the field — if money's tight, have a quiet word with the treasurer and we'll sort something out.
What does my child need to bring?
Football boots, a mouthguard and a water bottle are the essentials. The club provides the playing jersey, shorts and socks — you keep the boots and mouthguard, we handle the rest.
I'd like to coach or volunteer — how?
Brilliant — the club only runs because parents put their hand up. Whether it's coaching, managing, running water or helping in the canteen, send us a message and we'll match you to a team and sort any accreditation you need.
What happens if it's wet?
Wet-weather calls for training and gameday go out on our Facebook page — that's always the fastest place to check before you head down.
